5 Star - Super Highway Breeder with HPA
I raise Miniature Pinschers in several colors - Black/tan or rust, Brown/tan or rust, and the beautiful Harlequin Pinschers.
All of my breeding dogs have gone through genetic testing and have clear results. These tests include Cystinuria, MPS VI, and PLL. Genetic testing is done by Orivet at www.orivet.com. Orivet is the first lab establish a panel specifically for the Harlequin Pinscher. This panel includes 16 different tests for the Harlequin Pinscher breed. The panel shows which genetic characteristics the dog has including color, coat length and the genetic diseases - Cystinuria, MPS VI, PLL (Primary Lens Luxation) and DM (Degenerative Myelopathy). You can find more information to all of these genetic diseases on my links and important information page. All of my dogs have had DNA sequencing done - this allows myself and you as the puppy buyer the piece of mind that the puppy I send you does in fact belong to the parents I tell you. I spend about $400 per breeding pair for these tests. This is to insure my puppy buyers that they are getting a puppy that comes from healthy parents. My Harlequin Pinschers are proudly registered with the Harlequin Pinscher registry - HPA - Harlequin Pinscher Association. All Miniature Pinschers proudly registered with ACR - American Canine Registry.
HPA is the ONLY approved registry for the Harlequin Pinscher.
Puppies are born in my home and handled with love from the moment they are born. My momma dogs want me right there as they give birth. I raise my puppies with the Puppy Culture program. Puppies are started on potty training by using a litterbox and puppy pads.
None of my dogs live in small cages. The adult dogs have a climate controlled dog house with large individual runs for them to enjoy the outside, and a large backyard to run in.
I DO NOT crop my puppies ears, please do not ask me to do this. I feel it is a very cruel and inhumane thing to do to a dog. I do get their tails docked and dew claws removed. Those are both done by my veterinarian at 3-5 days old. The puppies suffer very little and recover quickly after being placed back with mom. If you want a puppy with tail and dewclaws left intact, please contact me prior to puppies born.
This site is dedicated to two special dogs. Mai Tai and Miesha. They lost their lives at a young age. They are missed everyday. I also want to say a special thanks to the person who made this possible, Mai Tai's breeder. She had enough faith in me to give me my start by letting me adopt her dogs.
