Breeder agrees to sell Buyer a puppy born: _______________________________________ Litter # ____________________________
Sire: ________________________________________________
Dam: _______________________________________________
For the sum of $_________________________
1) The Buyer agrees to provide a life-long commitment, comfortable environment, prompt medical attention, proper grooming and responsible care. This includes keeping this puppy/dog parasite free and up to date with inoculations, proper nutrition, which consists of a good quality feed given at regular intervals, and fresh water available at all times. The Buyer promises to provide a safe environment for the puppy/dog, and never allow the puppy/dog to roam freely without proper fencing or supervision. The Breeder strongly recommends that the puppy/dog micro-chip information to be filled out and sent in, in order to facilitate his/her return if lost or stolen. Puppy/dog will come with Micro-chip already inserted and paperwork needed to file in new owners name.
2) Puppy/dog is assumed to be in good health at time of sale. A health record of all shots and wormings done to date will be provided. The Buyer agrees to take this dog to a licensed veterinarian of their choice within 4-6 weeks for a physical examination. Should puppy/dog be determined to be in ill health the cause of which the Breeder is clearly to blame, the puppy/dog may, upon a signed written diagnosis from said licensed veterinarian be returned to me. You must call or email me at the first sign of a problem and keep me informed of what is going on. I require a photocopy of all your vet statements so my vet can concur with your vet with any problems found. I do not refund money, but in the case of a genetic problem, I will let you pick a puppy from the next available litter. I ask you to pick up or pay shipping as you did with the first puppy. The Breeder assumes absolutely no responsibility for fees associated with caring for the puppy/dog. This guarantee is applicable for 1 year after the purchase of the puppy. No other guarantees are given.
2a) Breeder does NOT warrant the puppy/dog to be free of heart worm, parvo virus, or any other type of intestinal virus or parasite after leaving the breeder’s possession.
2b) At time of delivery the puppy/dog will have had one at least set of puppy shots and wormings done for age up to date. However cannot be considered fully protected until puppy has received its last booster shot. Caution should be used until then.
(NOTE) Breeder does not guarantee puppy/dog’s adult size or trainability.
(NOTE) Toy breed dogs are known to have crooked teeth, retained baby teeth, etc... Teeth and off bites are not covered in my guarantee.
(NOTE) Alopecia is a hair coat issue that is not covered with my guarantee. Blue and fawn are diluted colors which have been known to be susceptible to skin problems where the puppy/dog may experience hair loss. If you purchase a dilute puppy/dog, you may or may not experience this. I have not had this problem in my dogs, but I do not breed any dogs that have skin or hair problems to avoid this issue.
(NOTE) Demodetic is contained in the hair follicles of ALL dogs, stress and lowered immune systems of puberty in them can make this appear, although not often. It is a very manageable condition and generally in most cases will disappear on its own. Some instances need veterinarian intervention; it is not covered in my guarantee.
3) It is understood at the time of sale that this is a pet quality dog and it is representative of its breed. All puppies are being sold as pet/companion not for breeding. Spaying or neutering is recommended after 6 months of age. Training classes are highly recommended for a happy relationship between the dog and family.
4) If at any time the Buyer can no longer retain possession of this puppy/dog, the Breeder is to be notified and given first option of resuming full ownership of puppy/dog before the Buyer may locate this puppy/dog in a new home. The puppy/dog will be returned with all registration papers and medical records. Should any circumstances arise that affect the quality of life of the puppy/dog, the Breeder is to be informed so that they may participate in determining the future of the puppy/dog. Under no circumstances will this puppy/dog be sold, leased, traded or given away to any pet shop, research laboratory, animal shelter or similar facility. My guarantee is between the original purchaser and myself only. My guarantee is not transferable if you resell your puppy/dog or give it away to someone else. Please make sure if you do not own your home that you are allowed pets before purchasing one. Please know the laws of your city and state and what is required of you before purchase as well. Some cities do not allow you to own an intact male or female. If you cannot keep your puppy/dog you purchased from me for any reason, I will always take them back and re-home them. I do not refund money and you are asked to pay the shipping cost or bring the puppy/dog back to me. Please remember, puppies are babies and need a lot of the same care and understanding a small child needs. You are taking in a new life to your family, please regard it with the same love and care that I gave before sending him/her to you.
5) The Buyer agrees to contact the Breeder immediately if any questions or concerns arise about the dog, such as housing, diet, or health. The Buyer agrees to keep the Breeder informed of any treatment for congenital problems as they occur. This provides me with an opportunity to follow up on puppies and gives me important feedback and information on the health of my dogs for future generations.
6) Deposits are good faith bonds between the breeder and the buyer. If you decide you do not want your puppy from me, you are breaking the agreement and you forfeit your deposit. If I break the agreement then your deposit will be refunded. I do have the right to deny any sale I deem will not be a good home for my puppies/dogs.
7) Please remember when your new puppy arrives to you it will have had from me, at least one combo puppy shot and a series of wormers. The puppy does need a total of three to four combos to be completely covered. You should refrain from taking the puppy to new places least until your veterinarian has given the rest of its immunizations. This will ensure you do not put your puppy in contact with another puppy that has not had its proper immunizations and your puppy becoming unnecessarily sick. Please remember that different geographical locations require different immunizations and that we prepare the puppies for requirements in our geographical location. Stress in shipping is normal; it doesn't matter if the puppy goes with ground transport, flies, or you pick it up. Watch for diarrhea. This is one of the first signs of stress. For mild cases, give your puppy a teaspoon of Pepto Bismol or Keopectate. This will generally clear it up. If you see blood in the stool you will have to get a stronger medicine from your vet. This is VERY important. Please make sure you check this carefully. If you are in an area where you do not drink the tap water, please do not give it to your puppy either.
8) Purchase price is non-refundable.
The preceding paragraphs contain conditions established by the Breeder to ensure the well being of the puppy/dog. The Buyer’s agreements will continue for the duration of the puppy/dog’s life and the Breeder will have the right to enforce the agreements. Signature below indicates having read and understood the contract and agreeing to be bound by the conditions in it. Failure to follow any provisions in this contract will void the entire contract.
